Auris is Manchester's first dedicated sound art festival. We set it up so that the city has a regular public platform for the form. The first edition ran 9 to 11 October 2026 along the Oxford Road Corridor, presenting Manchester artists alongside UK and international practitioners.

It included The Way Things Sound(ed), made with residents aged 65 and over in Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside: a GPS-triggered sound walk, a browser-based virtual space and a spatial audio installation.

T1/T2 installation at SISTER. This felt like considered art. The piece was aligned really well with the space it was presented in and there was enough information provided to allow a real connection.
